The Nomad Bar

Blacksheep was invited to create the main bar for Sleepotel,  'Europe's leading event for all those involved in the creation of new hotels', in 2009.  The highly successful end result was inspired by the easy, inclusive hospitality of the traditional peoples of Central Asia and Mongolia.  At its centre sat a 5m- high Mongolian yurt structure, which was clearly visible from all directions and which proved to be a very popular meeting place during the show.  An 11m freestanding bar along the back wall was the second major feature of the space and was constantly busy throughout the day, taking on an extra dimension in the evenings, when it became one of the main focus areas of the entire event.
