The Eastgate Hotel
"With its multicoloured patchwork, the refurbished Eastgate encourages you not to rush, as it you had just stumbled into a delightful fable."

Bringing Oxford’s Literary History to Life
The transformation of the entire ground floor of The Eastgate Hotel in Oxford, encompassing a new 90-cover restaurant (with private dining area), bar, lobby, lounge and toilet areas and necessitating a complete redesign of the ground floor footplate to optimise these key revenue-generating areas. The works of Oxford literary alumni Lewis Carroll, JRR Tolkein, CS Lewis and Kenneth Grahame inspired the look and feel of the bar area. Just one of a series of transformations of the public spaces of British hotels for the Mercure brand by Blacksheep (also including the Hythe Imperial, Whatley and Albrighton Hall hotels).
